Summary: Provides assistance to patrons to help navigate the legal process in non-criminal cases. Reports to the ACLAC Director. Supports ACLAC operations as defined by the Director.
Wage: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour, depending previous related experience
Hours: Part Time, 15 - 20 hours per week
Key Position Responsibilities:
Enters patrons’ information in Google Sheets accurately.
Provides self-representing litigants with appropriate civil court processes and procedures.
Provides additional support to Director as requested.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required
Two years of higher education/coursework in paralegal studies and/or legal studies preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Detail oriented, ability to work independently with little supervision
Allegan County Legal Assistance Center will provide training.
